Okada Rider Bites Off Student’s Finger Over Jerrycan

Pandemonium broke out yesterday at the Rain Oil filling station in High-level area of Makurdi, Benue State when a commercial motorcyclist bit off a student’s finger.
The incident occurred at about 9am happened when the Okada rider and the attacked student engaged in disagreement over a missing jerrycan.
The cyclist simply identified as Agergba came to purchase fuel and had reportedly stolen the jerrycan belonging to the student, identified as Terfa Bumkeng.
It was gathered that a serious argument ensued between the duo and snowballed into a fight.

Eyewitnesses said the student had claimed that he lost his jerrycan while scrambling on the queue to buy fuel and that, according to him, he later found it with the cyclist.
The incident attracted the attention of passersby and other customers who beat the cyclist to coma. The matter was reported to the police.
The student was, however, arrested and detained at police B Division while the cyclist is receiving treatment at Bishop Murray Medical centre Makurdi. Effort to reach the PPRO were abortive as he failed to pick phone calls.
