Diesel was killed in an anti-terror raid in Paris as armed police stormed an apartment hunting the mastermind behind the terror attacks in the capital

A German Shepherd puppy has been offered to French police by Russia to replace Diesel after the police dog was killed during an anti-terror raid.

ATP - General Vladimir Kolokoltsev said Dobrynya was being sent to France so that it "could replace Diesel" in a gesture to express solidarity between the two countries.
Dobrynya is named after a Russian fairy tale knight who "symbolises strength, goodness, valour and unconditional support".
Diesel, a French police dog, was killed in action on Wednesday during an anti-terror raid at an apartment in St Denis as police hunted the mastermind behind the Paris terrorist attacks.
The seven-year-old Belgian Shepherd was declared a hero as tributes poured in from around the world following the dog's death.
Female suicide bomber Hasna Ait Boulahcen, 26, blew herself up during an eight-hour siege as French police closed in on the ringleader of the Paris attacks Abdelhamid Abaaoud, who also died on Wednesday.
